First Snow of the Season!
We got our first snow of the season today and Kate found it fascinating. She kept saying, "oooh -- pretty!" Lacking proper boots or mittens, we didn't spend too much time outside, but here are some pictures:

Wow! You got a LOT of snow. We've had snow on and off since Thanksgiving, but never more than a solid dusting.
We got another inch or two after that. It may be our only snow of the season, so we have to enjoy it!

and even with proper boots and mittens it's utter misery to prolong any snowplay. tho, i'm probably just a stick in the (frozen) mud.

The photos are in chronological order and so you can watch her warm up to the idea of snow a little -- as much as one can without mittens!
The shoes she is wearing are hand me down Land's End Mary Jane boots -- they have pretty thick soles, you just can't see in all the snow! It embarrasses me that you can see her socks in the snow ;o)
